Compass turns technology coverage into sourced signals, dashboards, and briefing-ready reports — so you can see what's gaining attention, what's fading, what's connected, and why.
Every paid plan gets the same evidence-backed measurements. Choose based on how much you need to watch, export, report, and automate.

I just want to check whether Compass covers my topic
I work as a team, or want to wire signals into my own tools
One-time purchase · not a subscription
$19A single briefing-ready report1 full report · one topic
One topic, fully unpacked — what the coverage is made of, what changed, how
it's framed, and every cited source. Yours to keep and cite. No subscription, no recurring charge.
It's the exact report Pro generates — Pro just includes 10 of them every month
(plus alerts and 15 months of history).

Why history is the valuable part. A baseline isn't just old articles — it's coverage
measured the same way, against the same corpus, month after month. That's five quarters on record —
a full year plus the current one — so every read can measure this quarter against the same quarter last
year. Compass already holds that rolling history; your subscription unlocks it immediately and keeps
including each new month as the shared corpus accrues.

The full instrument, on a 30-day window.
The full instrument — coverage composition, claim stage, and framing — on any topic
Scoped to the last 30 days of coverage
1 single-topic report/month — any topic you choose
Multi-topic "State of X" lens reports — view the public samples
Watch 2 topics, plus 2 alerts fired by a change in the measurement
1 custom lens — a hand-picked topic set you can reuse across the instrument
For the professional who must brief, advise, or decide.
The 10 included single-topic reports are $190 of report value — plus 2 whole-lens "State of X" reports every month — so Pro pays for itself by the fourth report, then keeps watching the topics you brief on every week.

Signal Feed (API)
$59 /mo
Same price as Pro — a different product: a machine feed, not a dashboard.
For developers wiring Compass into their own systems
Not a stream of pages — a stream of measurements. Coverage endpoints deliver stories already classified by story type, claim stage, and framing; every signal is scored against the topic's own history. The interpretation layer is done before it reaches your pipeline.
Classified events — story type, claim stage, framing, per entity
Baselined — each signal carries its normal, so your system can tell unusual from loud
Source-linked — every measurement resolves to the dated articles behind it
All recurring plans are billed monthly — cancel anytime. (The one-time report is a single charge, not a subscription.) Annual billing is coming soon.
Tiered by what you do with Compass — never by the quality of the data. Every paid plan sees every
measurement and every evidence drill-down. What scales is capacity: saved relationship maps, armed alerts,
export volume, run history, seats, and API access.
Compass is launching soon — join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it opens.
How much the tech press is writing about a topic, which direction the coverage is moving, which companies and technologies get covered alongside it, and — crucially — what kind of stories the coverage is made of and how far the claims have actually progressed. Every number drills to the real headlines behind it.
Is this financial or investment advice?
No. Compass reports measurements over a technology-news corpus — never predictions, verdicts, or buy/sell signals. It tells you what the press is saying and how it's saying it; the judgment stays yours.
What's the $19 report?
A one-off, sourced brief on a single topic — coverage trend, framing split, what the coverage is made of over time, and every cited source — with no subscription. A low-commitment way to see the instrument do real work.
What's a "State of X" lens report — and how is it different from the $19 report?
The $19 report covers one topic. A "State of X" lens report covers a WHOLE lens or topic set — coverage leaders, momentum, what's covered together, and how concentrated attention is, every figure source-linked. It's a separate monthly allotment from the single-topic reports: Pro includes 2 lens reports a month, Plus 10, and a Free account can view the public sample lens reports.
Do you have an API?
Yes — two ways. Signal Feed (API) ($59/mo) is the standalone, API-only plan: a scoped, programmatic JSON feed for developers who want to pull the coverage measurements into their own app, model, or pipeline (no dashboard). Plus ($199/mo) includes the production-scale API alongside the full UI and team seats. The endpoints and a sample response are public — see the API docs at /compass/api.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Pro, Plus and Signal Feed (API) are month-to-month and cancel anytime from your billing portal.
What happens to the sample workspace if I never pay?
Nothing — it's free forever, no card, no trial clock. A free account also lets you look up any topic with the last 30 days of coverage, run 1 full report a month, and watch 2 topics; Pro is what unlocks the full 15 months of history, 10 reports a month, and scale.
Do I need to talk to sales?
No. Compass is entirely self-serve — pick a plan, pay by card, and you're in. (Teams larger than three seats can reach out for a custom arrangement.)
Billed monthly. Cancel anytime. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled;
cancellation stops future billing and access continues through the current billing period. Card handling by
